Our Journey
Matt Yang, the founder of our company, has a remarkable journey of resilience and determination that shaped MTD into the trusted contractor we are today.
2011-2016
Initially, Matt had successfully operated both a construction and an electrical company. However, his career took a drastic turn due to betrayal by a partner, leading to significant personal and professional setbacks that would test his resilience.
2017-2020
Undeterred by these challenges, Matt took a position as a project manager within the construction industry. This role allowed him to support his family while working diligently to settle debts and identify significant gaps in the electrical services market.
2020-Present
With his family's blessing and hard-earned lessons in his back pocket, Matt made the leap. He registered MTD as an electrical contractor, determined to build something different—a company where integrity isn't just a buzzword but the foundation of every interaction. Starting with residential projects and leveraging the relationships he'd carefully maintained, MTD quickly gained recognition in the Seattle area.
Today, MTD has expanded into commercial and public works, becoming a trusted name in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical services. Matt's journey from betrayal to triumph isn't just our company's origin story—it's our promise to every customer that we understand what trust truly means.
